Synopsis: Don’t Worry Darling takes place in a picturesque 1950s suburb where Alice (Florence Pugh) and Jack (Harry Styles) live in Victory, an experimental company town run by an egotistical leader, Frank (Chris Pine). While the husbands toil away, the wives are able to relax and enjoy the luxury of this supposed paradise. However, As strange occurrences begin, Alice questions just what she's doing in Victory.

Review: Considering the drama behind-the-scenes, Olivia Wilde's film is not nearly as bad as one might anticipate. However, despite its intriguing premise, it isn't nearly as satisfying or exciting as it should be either. The drama exists on a pretty singular plane of paranoia, something that is further exercised by the neurotic cinematography of Matthew Libatique. Pugh, undoubtedly, shines as she always does. Unfortunately she’s a diamond in the rough, embedded amongst many subpart male performances. Harry Styles is not terrible, but his failure to capture the intricacies of his character makes him feel cartoonish. The same can be said for Chris Pine, who feels frustratingly bland and two-dimensional. This sense of underwhelming frustration typifies the film, which often parades familiar territory as innovative, new land. As we reach an altogether messy and jumbled conclusion, there’s no redeeming features, only further confusing sinkholes with which the viewer sinks with each frame.
