If Christopher McQuarrie's previous efforts at the MI franchise, Rogue Nation (2015) weren't enough to assure you of the director's expertise for blockbuster action, then Fallout will certainly fill in the blanks. Despite Fallout being a fresh addition to the Mission Impossible franchise, it is the formulaic action sequences that maintain our interest throughout. Even though we've seen plenty of cardio-heavy Tom Cruise chases, numerous motorbike bails and a fair helping of Simon Pegg's wit, these features are consistently delivered with stunning clarity. This success can partly be accounted to the ever-brilliant soundtrack (Lorne Balf), which ensures an intense atmosphere. From the globe-trotting locations where the action takes place, to the subtle cuts that guide us along the way, every moment provokes excitement. With the help of Rebecca Ferguson (Isla Faust) and the addition of muscle-for-hire, Henry Cavill (August Walker), 'Fallout' proves a mission that is impossible to resist.
