'Like Father' is a drama that tells the story of a workaholic, Rachel (Kirsten Bell) and her estranged father, Harry (Kelsey Grammer), who is inadvertently invited on a honeymoon cruise after Rachel's fiancee walks out on her. The bizarre setting and plot circumstances are fitting for the questionable philosophies of Rachel and Harry, who often equate forgiveness with how much 'fun' they are having. At one moment, Rachel corrects her father's labelling of the vessel they're on, noting how you 'should call it a ship'. While these witty exchanges are fitting for the distant relationship of our lead characters, they tend to go unappreciated as a result of the dwindling chemistry between Bell and Grammer. As such, what starts off as an interesting discussion on family bonds and parenthood strays off into trivial episodes discussing, for instance,  how phones limit our communication or how karaoke is the perfect party activity.
