After the events of Avengers: Endgame, both Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and audiences themselves must learn to adjust to the new Marvel landscape. Without the moral guidance of Tony Stark, the world turns Spiderman to fill the shoes or, in this case, the artificial intelligence glasses that have been left behind by the billionaire. Director Jon Watts doubles the amounts of fun and excitement as his first outing with the web-spinning hero. Unlike Homecoming, which felt drawn back by the expectations of audiences' who were wondering how Spiderman would fit into the MCU, Far from Home, feels playful and self-aware of the numerous technologies that inhabit Spidey's world. With the existence of suspect 'hero', Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) comes the opportunity for dangerous new ways to build alternate universes. In a similar manner, however, Watts greets the conclusion of the Avengers timeline with an equally exciting rebirth of the Spiderman narrative.
